The Beaming Girl is a series of on-going photo documentation taken since 2011 when I was residing in Helsinki, Finland. All the photos were taken with a self-timer camera in different cities and during different season of the year. They all are images of 'self', nevertheless, it was more of a self-acknowledgement in relation to the spatial context rather than a ‘self-portrait’, which has been depicted with an enhanced beaming on the eyes, somehow ridiculing the melancholy idea of displacement and also acts as a tool of self-empowerment and disguise.
